MAGIC BOARD

Not sure that I have ever heard anyone call a molded board a "Magic" board but for me my 9'2" PSH board is just that. This board survived the now notorious Galapagos surf trip and many beatings on the rocks locally. I have ripped out the side fin and also the center box. Put holes all over the bottom. Had everything fixed. My kids love to draw on things so I turned them loose on the board with paint pens. Now this molded board has some serious character. I could easily replace it with a new shinny one but Im not. Im going to keep surfing and working this board like a farm animal until it turns to dust. First magic molded board I ever owned. OUT.

BLUELINE/PADDLE SURF HAWAII TEAM RIDER JOE ROWAN

New team rider Joe Rowan charging Silver Strand last week. Joe is a Strand local so I wouldn't advice SUP surfing there but it sure looks purtty don't it. OUT.

SANTA BARBARA

Local Santa Barbara surfer and friend Oliver gettin' busy last weekend at Ledbetter on his Paddle Surf Hawaii sup board. I have noticed that half the people in the water now are on PSH boards. Thats because they surf insane and float like a cork!! Best of both worlds. OUT.

THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT

Nope, no paddles in their hands. My kids do know how to SUP surf and aren't half bad but I think it's important that they learn how to surf the traditional way and master that first. They will earn a lot more respect that way when they grab the SUP boards in the future and hit the surf. No matter what it sure is fun sitting on the same beach that I learned how to surf on as a kid and watch them learn. OUT.

FRIENDSHIP PADDLE IN THE BAG

It was another beautiful paddle across the Santa Barbara channel yesterday. We motored out to Santa Rosa Island Friday and got some super fun waves under sunny skies. In fact it was HOT and we surfed with no wetsuits. Saturday morning we woke to more hot weather and started our 30 mile paddle back to SB. What a great event for a great cause. Can't wait till next year. OUT.

PADDLE SURF HAWAII AT THE BATTLE OF THE PADDLE

dD

Super fun weekend and the PSH tent was very popular with the hard core SUP surfers. We had one of the premier tent spaces thanks to Barrett Tester from Rainbow sandals. There were times when all 12 PSH boards we brought were in the water at the same time. Everyone was ripping!! Good race event and we even had plenty surf to have fun in all weekend. OUT.
