SAMANTHA BROWN AND THE TRAVEL CHANNEL COME TO SANTA BARBARA TO LEARN ABOUT STANDUP PADDLE BOARDING
I got a call a few weeks ago from a guy in New York City claiming he was from the Travel Channel and he was sending out a film crew to do a show on Santa Barbara. He wanted me to give Samantha Brown a standup paddle lesson. Needless to say, I was thrilled and not sure if it was one of my friends pulling a prank. They said they were sending out a guy from New York to check us out and see if we could do the job. Sure enough Toby from the channel shows up and we hit it off right away. He was super impressed after walking into our new BlueLine SUP retail store and knew right away we were the real deal and the right folks to do the show. They said they would be back in a couple of weeks. This morning at 8:00 AM sharp two vans full of film crew and Samantha Brown entered the store and spent about an hour filming the store and her asking me SUP questions. Then it was off to the beach for the real lesson. My friend then picked up the film crew on his boat and we did a paddle up to Ledbetter point and back. My wife, son and his best friend joined us. It was a perfect day and Samantha never fell off the board once. I think we have a new SUP fan. This show on the Travel Channel is shown around the world and viewed by millions and I can't thank the people at the channel enough. I will for sure let it be known when it airs. OUT.
